Melbourne to Seville took 33 hours (Melbourne -> Hong Kong -> Helsinki -> Barcelona -> Seville). I am staying with Kirsti Ala Mutka in her apartment in the old part of Seville. Spent the first couple of days walking around, getting over jetlag and practising with my new camera. These are some of the sights:
Typical street in the old city of Seville - easy to get lost in the winding streets.
Garden in Reales Alcazares (Royal Palaces)
Interior of Alcazares - decorations in Mudejar style.
Main courtyard in Alcazares .
Casa de Pilatos - 16th century palace near Kirsti's appartment in the old city.
Dinner by the Guadalquivir river with Kirsti and friends
Kirsti by the Guadalquivir river - the old city of Seville in the background
Seville University
Tiled panel decoration on the the Plaza de Espana - there is one for each region of Spain.
Hmm - not easy to see but this is a seat in the Parque de Maria Luisa - scenes from Don Quixote.
Something beside the seat - not sure what this is.
Hi Judy - looks like a pretty tough holiday so far. You must be missing winter!
ReplyDeleteI'm sighing as I look at your photos. Europe's so - well, European, isn't it! Hopefully we will be there soon. Here it is Sunday morning - sunny and windy. Not too bad except for the cricket score. Oh, and Collingwood supporters seem to be spending the day in bed...
