Gamla Uppsala - 20 Nov

Gamla Uppsala (Old Uppsala) is a short bus ride north of Uppsala. It is one of the most important ancient monument areas in Sweden.

Gamla Uppsala kyrka (Old Uppsala Church) built in 1164. According to legend it was built over a heathen temple from the Viking age

Some houses and farmland

The Royal Mounds - three large burial mounds with the church in the distance. These mounds are from the 5th and 6th century. There are around 250 burial mounds around the area.
