Bike ride to Seurasaari - 8 Nov

On Sunday afternoon I rode to Seurasaari, an island west of the centre of Helsinki. The island is scattered with traditional 18th and 19th century houses gathered from around Finland. I met Margaret Hamilton there and we had afternoon tea. From Seurasaari I rode around the inlet to Lauttasaari then across the islands of Kaskisaari and Lehtisaari and then home.

The paths near home
Some snow still remaining from the snowfall two nights before
Looking across the field to Tapiola

A view of the inlet and one of the islands

The inside of the house was full of antique furniture

Heading off for the rest of the ride
