Koli - 29 Oct - 1 Nov

The Koli Calling conference was held at Koli National Park. Koli is in the middle of Finland near the Russian border. The day before the conference a doctoral consortium was held in Joensuu near Koli. I travelled to Joensuu by train - a little over four hours from Helsinki - and then to the conference by bus. On the afternoon on the second day of the conference we went for a walk in the Park.

After the doctoral consortium - waiting for the bus to Koli

After dinner at Koli. Lauri Malmi at the piano - with Neena, Ari and Ahmad looking on.

The thermometer outside my room - reading minus 5 degrees.

The view from my room - through the trees I could see Lake Pielinen
